Journal of Palaeogeography (JoP) received the joyful invitation from the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), to join its source journals (core database) of the years 2015–2016. This is the first time for JoP to be indexed in this database.

CSCD consists of the core database and the extending database, which are evaluated every two years. During this term of the years 2015–2016, totally 1200 journals that are published in China are indexed by CSCD, i.e., 194 in English, and 1006 in Chinese; 872 in the core database and 328 in the extending database, respectively.
