We are very delighted to report that the first Impact Factor of Journal of Palaeogeography (2017 Impact Factor) is 2.632! The journal’s ranking in the Geosciences Multidisciplinary category is 60/189 (top 31.7%, Q2) and in the Paleontology category is 3/55 (top 5.5%, Q1).
Journal of Palaeogeography was launched in July 2012, accepted by ESCI and Scopus in 2015 and indexed by SCI-E in September 2017. We would like to thank the first and second Editorial Committee members, especially Associate-Editors-in-Chief who actively participated in the work of the journal in soliciting and writing high-quality papers, attending academic conferences and making excellent presentations, peer-reviewing submitted papers and proof-reading each accepted articles before publication. These efforts laid a solid foundation for the development of the journal in such a short period. We would like to thank everyone for supporting Journal of Palaeogeography and contributing to this success in our continuing mission to play a major role in the future of global geosciences.
