In September, 2011, guided by Prof. Su Dechen who is the author of the last paper of this issue, the editor-in-chief of our journal, Prof. Feng Zengzhao observed the outcrop of soft-sediment deformation structures of the Mesoproterozoic Wumishan Formation, Yongding River Valley, Beijing. The soft sediment deformation structures were formed by palaeoearthquake. A spot reviewing for Prof. Su Dechen's manuscript was thus finished during the observation. The specialist of seismites, Prof. Qiao Xiufu, the associate editor-in-chief, Dr. Zheng Xiujuan, editor Dr. Li Xinpo, and others also joined the outcrop observation. Through detailed observation, Prof. Feng Zengzhao proposed his revision comments on the determination of some rock names and gave excellent evaluation to Prof. Su Dechen's manuscript.
The followings are the photographs of this observation.
