Aim of the conference
The conference aims at discussing the research results and development of Chinese palaeogeography and sedimen-tology, studying and analyzing the future developing tendency of palaeogeography and sedimentology, providing a more profitable service and technology support for energy resource exploration and development, resource utilization and environment protection.

Main contents
1) Palaeogeography and sedimentology of petroliferous (coal-bearing) basins;
2) Application of the new techniques, new methods and testing technology in palaeogeography and sedimentology;
3) Application of the palaeogeography and sedimentology in the mineral resources exploration and utilization, en-vironmental protection and their sustainable development;
4) A special issue discussion about carbonate lithofacies palaeogeography and hydrocarbon accumulation will be held before or after the conference, and domestic and foreign specialists will be invited to give presentation.

About the papers
Any high quality conference papers (not published yet) will be published on Journal of Palaeogeography, Journal of Palaeogeography (Chinese Edition), Journal of China University of Petroleum (Edition of Natural Science) and Petroleum Geology and Recovery Efficiency. Post conference field trips
1) Modern marine deposits in Qingdao area, Shandong Province (2-3 days);
2) The Paleozoic deposits in central Shandong Province (2-3 days);
3) The Mesozoic deposits of the Laiyang Basin (2-3 days);
4) The Shengli Oilfield and the Yellow River Delta deposits (2-3 days).
The delegate is required to choose one of the field trips on his (her) own opinion.
