Abstract: Notch signaling is one of the most important signaling pathways in vertebrates and invertebrates. It regulates apoptosis, proliferation, differentiation and so on.The up-regulation,down-regulation or structural changes of Notch signal are closely related to the development of various malignant tumors. In the present study, four Notch phenotypes(Notch1-4)have been identified, which bind to their ligands respectively(Jagged1,Jagged2,Delta1,Delta3,Delta4).Notch plays an important role in a variety of malignant tumors. This review focuses on the role of Notch in a variety of solid malignancies, including its role in the process of tumor development and treatment.
