What the author needs to know before submission

1 Academic content of the manuscript. The academic content of articles in Journal of Palaeogeography(Chinese Edition) generally includes lithofacies paleogeography, biological paleogeography, tectonic paleogeography, and paleogeography of sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, quaternary ancient geography, human history and paleogeography and sedimentary environment, sedimentary facies, the ancient ecological, palaeostructure, geomorphology, paleoclimate and ancient karst hydrological, ancient, ancient soil, the geography study methods and technology, mineral resources exploration and development, ancient and modern geographical environment and human civilization, etc.
2 Requirements of academic ethics. All authors should follow academic ethics. Plagiarism and multiple submissions are strictly prohibited. For articles that meet the requirements of the content, the Editorial Department and CNKI cooperate to conduct online academic misconduct review. Manuscripts submitted more than one manuscript and those with a repetition rate of more than 20% will be rejected. Due to the particularity of the content, there will be exceptions according to specific circumstances. Authors of serious academic misconduct will be blacklisted and banned from publishing in the Journal of Palaeogeography(Chinese Edition) for two years.
3 Peer review. Journal of Palaeogeography(Chinese Edition) insists on peer review of all manuscripts. Manuscript review generally selects experts in related fields, excluding experts at the same institution as the authors, experts who have interest relations with the authors, and experts the authors  requested to avoid. Authors may recommend reviewers or recuse reviewers, but the choice of reviewers is up to the academic editor. Authors can access the review process information through the submission system or our WeChat official account. The peer review process is typically completed within three months.
4 Cost. The magazine does not charge for the review of articles and for the publication of articles in advance. For published articles, we will charge the authors for a portion of the cost of printing the articles based on the number of pages in the articles, and accordingly, we will pay the authors according to the number of pages in the articles to show our appreciation, and two printed copies of the journal will be presented after publication.
5 Copyright Transfer
1) The copyright of the manuscript belongs to the authors. Editors of the journal can make textual changes to the content of the manuscript, but substantive changes will be made only after the permission of the author is obtained.
2) The copyright owner agrees that the rights of compilation rights, distribution rights, copy rights, translation rights, and information network dissemination rights of the paper's copyright are transferred to the Editorial Department of Journal of Palaeogeography (Chinese Edition). The author may not authorize others to compile, reprint or publish any part of this article in any form without the written permission of the Editorial Office of Journal of Palaeogeography (Chinese Edition).
3) All published articles represent the personal views of the authors only, and do not reflect the official policies of China University of Petroleum and China Society of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry, unless this is clearly specified. All the articles published in this journal will be automatically available in CD version and online version. If you do not agree, please make a statement in your submission. Where it is not stated, we assume that the author has consented.
6 Manuscript format
1) Order of contents. All the author's name, title, author's institution, address, zip code, a summary of the article (300 ~ 500 words), keyword (3 ~ 8), the introduction of the first author and corresponding author, the corresponding English content in front, the body of the article, thanks, references (references in Chinese must have an English translation).
2) Funds that provide funding for research. The name, approval number and English translation of all funds should be indicated at the foot of the first page.
3) Body. The body of the manuscript requires standard terminology, sufficient materials, clear logic, clear conclusions and accurate references.
4) Charts. Photos must be clear. The chart shall not exceed 170 mm×230 mm. The diagram should be mixed with the text and placed after the first quoted paragraph.
5) References.The author should provide a list of references at the end of the paper that are consistent with those cited in the paper. Chinese references should be translated into English.
