Predrilling reservoir quality prediction of Well Jin 310 in Liaohe Depression of Bohai Bay Basin

Abstract In order to predict the reservoir quality of Well Jin 310 in Jin 1 well block of Liaohe Depression of Bohai Bay Basin before drilling,the diagenetic stages of the Member 2 of Paleogene Shahejie Formation were predicted by diagenetic modeling,and the reservoir porosity of the Member 2 of Shahejie Formation was predicted after the porosity prediction model was established considering the integrated effects of sedimentary facies and diagenesis on the porosity of reservoirs.As the results show,secondary pore was well developed in the reservoir located in the middle diagenetic stage A of the Member 2 of Shahejie Formation,and the absolute error between predicted porosity and measured porosity is only 1.33% in the reservoir with the content of filling materials of 16.13%. Therefore,the method of predrilling reservoir quality prediction considering integrated effects of sedimentary facies and diagenesis on reservoir quality could be applied to the exploration deployment of pre-exploration wells.
