Analysis of the incidence and mortality of malignant tumors in Fujian,2016

Abstract: Objective The aim of this study was to analyze the incidence and death of malignant tumors in Fujian province in 2016,and provide a theoretical basis for the prevention and treatment of malignant tumors. Methods The 2016 registration data of malignant tumors in Fujian province were sorted out and evaluated.The morbidity and mortality were calculated by gender,age and location according to the data that meet the standard.The incidence and death of malignant tumors were estimated in Fujian province based on the registered population in 2016. Results It is estimated that in 2016,There were 107,498 new malignant tumor cases and 61,872 deaths in Fujian.The incidence of malignant tumors in Fujian was 286.72/100,000,and age-standardized incidence rates adjusted by Chinese standrad popultion was 210.24/100,000.The mortality of malignant tumors in Fujian was 165.03/100,000,and age-standardized mortality rates adjusted by Chinese standrad popultion was 113.90/100,000.Lung cancer,stomach cancer,liver cancer,colorectal cancer and thyroid cancer were the most common malignant tumors in Fujian province.The main causes of death were malignant tumors from lung cancer,liver cancer,stomach cancer,colorectal cancer and esophageal cancer in Fujian province. Conclusion At present,the burden of cancer in Fujian is relatively heavy,and the prevention and treatment of lung cancer,gastric cancer,and liver cancer should be strengthened.
