Abstract:

Objective To investigate the inhibition and apoptotic effect of trihydroxybenzoic acid on HL-60 cells. Methods MTT-based cytotoxicity assay was used to test the HL-60 cells proliferation. The apoptotic cells were detected by AO fluorescent staining and flow cytometry; Results TBA inhibited HL-60 cells proliferation in a dose-dependent manner,HL-60 cells treated with TBA for 48h,AO fluorescent staining results showed that part of cell cytoplasm condensed, the volume was narrow, nuclear shrinkage, chromatin increased, more brightly fluorescent, condensed to form dense green fluorescent apoptotic features such as.Compared with control group(2.53±0.56)%,the percentage of early apoptotic cells was(28.24±5.24)%,the difference was significant(P<0.05).Conclusion TBA inhibited the proliferation of HL-60 cells by inducing apoptosis.
