Research progress of monocytes/macrophages in non-hodgkin's lymphomas

Abstract: Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma(NHL)is a general term for a group of independent diseases with strong heterogeneity.In recent years,it's been found that in the tumor microenvironment,monocytes/macrophages have a certain effects on tumor growth,proliferation,immune escape and prognosis.At the same time,tumors also stimulate monocytes/macrophages.This article summarizes the current research status of monocytes/macrophages in several common NHL,summarizes the correlation between monocytes/macrophages and the prognosis of NHL patients,the interaction and mechanism of monocytes/macrophages and NHL tumor cells,and describes the possible role of monocytes/macrophages in immunotherapy of NHL.
