Research progress on the effect of psychological stress on immune cells in tumor microenvironment

Abstract: Tumor microenvironment(TME)plays an important role in the occurrence and development of tumors.The human body under stress usually undergoes some important biological effects,which impair the immune system.Various stress responses can regulate immune cells in TME,such as natural killer cells,dendritic cells,and myeloid-derived suppressive cells(MDSCs),etc.the responses lead to tumor progression.Because immune cells play an important role in regulating multiple activities of human body and their application in tumors is also of great significance.This article reviews how psychological stress affects immune cells in TME in order to provide new ideas for tumor therapy.
