Abstract: KIF14 as kinesin superfamily(KIFS)member,by adjusting the mitotic spindle formation, chromosome separation and cytokinesis completion, thereby promotes tumor development and progression.KIF14 abnormalities has been demonstrated in a variety of human malignancies, enhanced its role can affect the mitosis process and result in the occurrence of tumor; To reduce its effect can lead to inactivation of the kinase AKT,thereby reducing the migration of cells and promote apoptosis. In addition, the lack of KIF14 may also enhance tumor sensitivity to chemotherapy. In summary,KIF14 played an important role in cancer development and progression. This paper reviews the relationship between KIF14 and malignant tumors.
