Abstract: Plant anthocyanins are a class of water-soluble flavonoids, which mainly found in various vegetables and fruits.Common plant anthocyanins are mainly divided into six species including pelargonidin, peonidin, cyanidin, malvidin, petunidin, and delphinidin;Because the phytocyanin molecules contain conjugated double bond systems with basic or acidic groups, they have biological effects such as anti-oxidation,anti-inflammation,immune regulation,anti-aging,and anti-cancer,especially for inhibitory effects of tumor. Therefore, this article will review tumor suppressive effects and possible mechanisms of plant anthocyanins.
