Abstract: Genome instability is a hallmark of cancer.Targeting protein for xenopus kinesin-like protein 2(TPX2)is involved in the spindle formation during cell mitosis. The abnormal expression of TPX2 can lead to abnormal centrosome amplification and spindle abnormality, and then affect the stability of the genome and malignant transformation of cells. In recent years, studies have confirmed that TPX2 is overexpressed in a variety of malignant tumors, and is closely related to the occurrence, development and prognosis of cancer.Inhibition of TPX2 expression can inhibit tumor proliferation and invasion.Therefore,TPX2 is expected to become an important marker of tumor diagnosis and prognosis,as well as a new direction of tumor treatment.
