Abstract: Gliomas,as the most common central nervous system tumors, still have a poor prognosis for patients after comprehensive treatment with surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. The occurrence, development, invasion and treatment resistance of tumors are closely related to the immune infiltrating cells in the tumor microenvironment.Macrophages/microglia are the main immune-infiltrating cells in the microenvironment of gliomas, and significant progress has been made in their research in recent years, providing new ideas for the treatment of gliomas. This article reviews the research progress of macrophages/microglia in the microenvironment of glioma.
